As of two weeks ago , I went in to see my Dr.and had been having severe heavy chest pain for about a week and a half, and difficulty breathing. When they finally saw me and did an EKG,they sent me right to the hospital by ambulance. My blood pressure being so low ,my heart was not getting enough blood pumping to it. They did do blood work and exrays and the Cardiologist said it was not my heart. That it is costrochrondritis or Tietze ,which seems like mini heart attacts. He said I was not to bend down or pick up any heavy objects.I followed up with my regular Dr.who told me to have one month of total recuperation, take advil for pain and perscribed Flexerile.I too have trouble laying flat or bending over, becoming out of breath and having pain. I can not even lift a gallon of milk with out pain. Any activity like a shower and blowing hair dry ,wipes me out and it has been two weeks!!I see my Dr. in two more weeks . And I am very concerned for I am very active and have to work.Is it common to feel this way ?
Still not sure this is Tietze syndrome

I don't know if it's "common," but you certainly sound like me, in the early days. In an unrelated matter, I have a tendency to have hypoglycemia and low electrolytes. If I am in significant pain (or recuperating from an operation or illness), I have to be very, very careful. I had a similar thing happen to you: I went to my doc with extremely low blood pressure, due to low electrolytes. I had an IV for a few hours and some medicine that made me hallucinate and forget the whole day, lol.
I guess what I am saying is that it's not beyond the realm of possibilities that it's all related.
To be sure, I would go to see a good rheumatologist. good luck! Stephanie
